Spoiler Alert!

The only thing I could think about as I was watching the season finale of Terriers was, “Please, please, please don’t cancel this show.” It can’t end like this. I can’t not know whether Hank and Britt drove straight or took that left turn to Mexico. Nobody has asked me what my favorite show this year has been but if they did, I would tell them, without hesitation, it’s this one. Consistency is a very hard thing to maintain in a TV series, and no other show this year as been as consistent as Terriers. For thirteen straight weeks I got to spend time with these wonderful characters on their sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes incredibly dark misadventures, and after this episode, which ties up multiple story threads in that circular, going back to the pilot fashion that I’m just a sucker for, I’m not ready to say goodbye just yet.
